Krista White,

APRN, FNP-C

Krista White is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and licensed by the state of Florida. Beginning her career as a medical assistant in 1992, Krista obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing. Krista is a passionate lifelong learner, she continued her education and received her Master’s of Science in Nursing specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner.

For Krista, nursing is personal. She began serving as a caregiver at an early age, assisting her family with the care of her sister, who lives with physical disabilities. Her drive to advocate for her patients brought her to a broad range of inpatient to outpatient settings, including critical care and pre and postoperative cardiac surgical units, as well as heart, lung and kidney transplant units. She is also experienced in the administration side of nursing, serving as a nurse case manager and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge.

Advancing her skills is a constant drive in Krista’s life. While working for BayCare Health Systems in 2001, she completed Critical Care/Emergency Nurse Internship Program at Morton Plant Mease Health Care in 2001 and later obtained Clinical Ladder III certification through Tampa General Hospital. The Nursing Clinical Ladder provides an opportunity for professional development, recognition for performance, and enhanced quality of patient care. During her time at Tampa General Hospital, she served as charge nurse, preceptor, clinical skills validator and as a member of the unit-based process improvement committee.

When she’s not at work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Krista’s philosophy of care can be expressed in the words of Theodore Roosevelt: “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.”
